Business Development Manager

As the business development process manager you will lead and manage a newly created `business winning¿ team based in Salford Quays, Manchester with the following goals: driving the growth of the group through new business wins and ensuring the company becomes a respected competitor in the markets that it targets.

The business winning team will be responsible for coordinating all business development activity in support of business development managers who focus on the sectors that the group targets. 

This is a unique opportunity to join a company that is growing rapidly in a role that will be pivotal to its continued success. The successful individual will be able to assist the formulation of the team, processes and systems but will be fully supported by the senior executive management.

Roles / Responsibilities:

This role will include a variety of tasks including the following:

Management

Lead and manage the business winning team to drive the future growth of the group through new business wins

Develop the business winning team into the most respected competitor in the industry

Design, develop and implement robust processes for all stages of the bid cycle

Ensure key information is kept so that performance can be accurately measured

Manage internal team resources effectively and manage conflicting pressures from senior management diplomatically

Skills / Experience:

Essential

Educated to degree level

Experience in the Business Development cycle comprising PQQ¿s, tenders and presentations

Experience in writing compelling tender documents that stand out from the average

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, comfortable presenting at board level.

Excellent proof reading skills

A track record of success in process management within similar success teams

Good PC Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint plus creative design software

Smart professional appearance

Flexible and ability to travel when required

Desirable

Experience in CRM management
